Mosholu Golf Course

Picture
With the help of a $1 million donation by the late Lew Rudin, Mosholu Golf Course is now the New York address for the
First Tee program. Rudin’s generous donation combined with a settlement with New York City Department of Environmental Protection permitting the construction of a water filtration plant under the golf course has resulted in a major upgrades and renovations on the course as well as construction of a new clubhouse and new entrance on Jerome Ave.

Mosholu Golf Course is a difficult course because the tree-lined fairways are narrow, and the medium-sized greens are fast. There are several blind fairways in the design, and the rolling terrain can produce hilly lies. There's virtually no water on the course and two fo the nine holes do not have sand bunkers. This course is not very long and is a perfect place for beginners to learn the sport. There are an additional set of men's tees that can be used when playing an eighteen-hole round.  The practice facilities include a driving range, chipping/pitching green and a 10,000 sq. ft. putting green.
